First and foremost - thank you for visiting! My name is Sean P. I'm a pharmacy school student working towards my Doctor of Pharmacy. I started this blog in 2008 to keep track of my journey and to connect with other people who are passionate about food.

My passion for food arises from my mother, its cultural variances, freedom of creativity, ability to connect people and of course - the taste. I believe in supporting local produce when possible and ethical farming practices. I don't consider myself a chef or cook and I don't have formal culinary training - I'm merely a 20-something year old male who loves to cook and enjoy culinary adventures with others. That being said...

About the Reviews
I am by no means a trained food critic. I've been fortunate enough to be exposed to many styles of cooking/cuisines/cultures and I was raised in a household that's passionate about food. I give you my honest opinions and perspectives about the restaurants I visit and I hope you find them useful. I pay for my own meals and I try to share both first-impressions and follow-up visits with you. Please take into account when the reviews were written as the food, staff or management may have changed since my last visit.

When writing these reviews, I share the same views as Chloe M. and Jennifer Z. from Chow Down Atlanta and The Blissful Glutton, respectively. 2 local Atlanta writers who I have tremendous respect for. When the food's good I'll give you props but if it's bad, I'm going to call you out on it. Restaurants are places of livelihood and vehicles for dreams - I'm not interested in making malevolent, inflammatory comments just because I'm shielded by online anonymity. I won't make statements that I don't know about - if I'm not familiar with a certain cuisine, ingredient or technique I'll clearly state so in my review. There's nothing worse than a pretentious writer.

Misc.
Aside from cooking/baking, I like to eat, work out, play guitar (RIP R. Rhoads), read, write and travel. I'm always up for some good street food and unfamiliar dishes - I believe you should try anything at least once. There's one item that I detest eating, which I discovered when I moved down to the South: okra. It's slimy, tasteless and disgusting. Despite my gastronomic battle with okra, I'll gladly eat it if offered with a smile on my face.

Hahaha I LOVE okra!! It was one of the few veggies I begged my dad to cook when I was younger. That might be the only thing I like about the south :)
