Located inside H-Mart Duluth, Hong Kong BBQ has just recently replaced (or reopened) the Chinese BBQ that had been there before. They offer your usual fare of pork and duck but unlike its predecessor, chow fun and wok-fried items are also available.
It's located in the left side of H-Mart in front of the ice cream shop and next to the banchan section. A prime location in terms of getting food inside the store as the food court is always crowded. It's pretty hard to miss with their big booth and the savory aroma from the meats.
I ended up getting the whole duck for about $18 and of course, the duck is butchered in front of your very own eyes. Don't like seeing ducks get beheaded? Close your eyes or turn around my friend because that duck head is being chopped off - executioner style.
As for how the duck tasted, the meat inside was still juicy and flavorful but the skin was soggy. A soggy duck skin (I believe) is one of the great culinary evils and a definite bummer when you're eating duck. This was their second day open so I'll have to revisit but it was surprising as most Asian restaurants are great from the get-go.
Not a bad choice to pick up some fast food while you're shopping at H-Mart. No rude and angry Asian moms, not crowded, no little kids crying/running around everywhere and better food than you'll probably find at the food court.

Hmm. There's H-Mart near me too, here in CA. I wonder if it also has Hong Kong BBQ. I like duck but have yet to taste some that really impresses me. And in reference to your previous post, moffles sound awesome. They make me want to get a waffle iron. And I have a feeling my mom would like them too. Once again, your writing style + pictures are impressive. :) Oh and I think I fixed my template so maybe you can be the first ever to leave a comment (ha). Though I haven't updated. Good luck!
LOL. There is no over-stating the 'culinary evil' of soggy duck skin. Well said.
Great post Sean - great pictures too.
Ps: Soggy duck skin would not be nice - yuk!
Joanne - I still can't leave a comment on your blog! I've tried to e-mail you instead but I can't do that either. Thank you for your kind words!
HVH - glad we share the same passion for crispy duck skin!
Jan - thank you! Pictures are so-so because it was on my iPhone but soggy duck skin is definitely yuk
