Hungry, weary and not in the greatest of mood after my bag came in late, I stumbled into Johnny's Po-Boys to rejuvenate my weary body and soul.
The hotel bellboy tipped me off to this local favorite where the lines were out the door even at 4pm -- always a good sign. There's a plethora of po-boys you can choose from as well as breakfast items and big easy cookin'. I opted for the typical fried shrimp po-boy and while priced at a hefty $14 + change that day, it's a large filling sandwich. Hit this sucka up with some Louisiana Hot Sauce sitting on your table
and get ready to use those napkins on the table because it could get
messy.
Full and satisfied, I left Johnny's after dominating that po-boy with a grin on my face. Definitely an experience worth going for.

I was in Johnny's for the first time about 15 years ago. While having a Po Boy my dining companion and I chatted up the janitor sweeping the floor. Lo and behold if it wasn't Johnny himself.
