Pharmacists, pharmacy students, vendors and drug reps all around the nation gathered last week in the city of New Orleans, LA for ASHP Midyear. Between the seminars and job interviews I got to experience the city, eat (a lot) and drink more cafe au lait than I've ever had in my entire life.
My next several posts will be regarding New Orleans. Almost all about the food but ending with the one last post regarding the city.
Regarding the conference, it was great to see so many people in the field of pharmacy come together in one place. Lots of young professionals seeking jobs or residencies and lots of seasoned veterans offering advice and guidance to the greenhorns. On that note, it was also scary to see how many future pharmacists schools are pumping out around the nation -- and only a fraction of each school's graduating class was represented at Midyear.
Anyways, the New Orleans posts start...now!
